Behind the Tile

The Work You Won't See — and Why It Matters

What's under the tile decides how long it lasts. Good waterproofing protects your walls and subfloor from hidden water damage, and a flat, well-prepared base helps keep tile and grout from cracking. We take the time to get these steps right, even though you'll never see them once the job is done.

WaterproofingWe primarily use Schluter® Systems, including Kerdi waterproofing, and other professional waterproofing systems depending on the project.
Heated tile floorsWe install heated tile floors for a warm, comfortable bathroom.
Underlayment, layout & levelingFloors get a reinforcing, uncoupling underlayment such as BLANKE PERMAT where the project calls for it, and every tile is laid out and leveled as it's set.
